Do we wait for postnatal bleeding to settle before resuming prayers?
So after delivery, what you would do is you would wait for a maximum of 40 days. So if your bleeding stops within 40 days, then you take a ghusl and you pray and do everything else as normal. If, however, after 40 days have completed and you're still bleeding, you take a ghusl and then you need to do a new wudu for each salah and pray as normal, fast as normal. It's now considered irregular bleeding. So the timeline essentially is after 40 days, as mentioned by the Prophet, peace be upon him, in a hadith collected by Imam Tirmidhi. So you can do anything as normal after 40 days have completed, but you must do a new wudu for each salah. I hope that's clear, inshallah.
