Can we have parmesan cheese?
So two views on this particular issue. Personally I'll side with you that it's permissible and that's based on the fact that the Sahaba they used to consume cheese from the Zoroastrians and they wouldn't have slaughtered the animals in a halal way and also they mentioned that because the the part or the lining of the animal which contains rennet and it doesn't die even when the animal is slaughtered so based on that inshallah it's permissible but as I mentioned there are two views a number of other scholars and three or the other four madhhab apart from the hanafi madhab would also say that it would not be permissible.
