How much should women work or stay home?

In Islam, it's the husband's responsibility to be able to provide. So there's no obligation on the wife to provide financially if she wants to contribute, if she wants to work together. Particularly nowadays, we know the cost of living depending on which area you may live in, in London and so on. And you want to work together, then that's also fine. There's no issue with that. It would be considered Sadaqah on her behalf. However, there's no obligation for her in terms of that she must work Islamically.
