Can Muslim men and women wear platinum?

jewelryplatinummenwomenhanafipermissibility
For women, platinum is permissible; for men, the majority of scholars permit platinum, but the Hanafi school restricts men to silver. jewelry, platinum, men, women, hanafi, permissibility https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gBWB-03iOJg
For women there's no issue regardless whether it's gold silver platinum. For men however according to the majority of scholars platinum would be fine but in the hanafi madhab specifically it has to be from silver. Why is there this difference? Because we know the prophet he used to have a silver ring so the hanafi scholars they say that because it was only silver the prophet used it means that men nowadays can only use silver. The other scholars the majority of scholars say no it wasn't restricted to silver only because that's what was present at the time but nowadays we have other metals for example platinum and therefore that would be permissible as long as it's not gold.
