What is the wisdom behind continuous trials that test patience and steadfastness, like Prophet Ayyub experienced?
Remember this whenever you have a difficulty in your life. Every second of that difficulty, it is a means of you having your sins forgiven, your sins wiped away. Every second of that difficulty, it is a means of you getting more good deeds because of the sabr that you're showing throughout that difficulty. Every second of that difficulty, it is a means of you getting closer to Jannah. Why? Because we know the Prophet said in Sahih Bukhari, if a Muslim undergoes a difficulty in their life, even if it is like the prick of a thorn, then it's a means of expiating your sins. Number two, we know that Allah tests those whom he loves. Allah tests those whom he loves. So whenever you go through a hardship in life, the first thing I want you to remember, Allah loves me. It's a sign that Allah loves you, that he is testing you and that Allah wants good for you. So never forget this. And sometimes, in fact, Allah will place difficulties in your life so that you will go through a difficulty to be raised to a level in Jannah, which you would never have been able to reach without that difficulty.
