The sheikh said that parenting is an act of worship, and every moment spent on it is a good deed that can also serve as ongoing charity. parenting, ibadah, motivation, tarbiyah, sadaqah jariyah, family https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fPqERMGYcM0
Number one, very important to remember, parenting is an act of ibadah, it's an act of worship, which means that every single second that you are parenting, that you are feeding them, that you are clothing them, that you are making their food, that you are putting them to bed. Yes, putting them to bed can be stressful and difficult at times, that you're picking them up from school, you're taking them to their activities, whatever it may be. Every single second is a good deed, is an act of ibadah. Allah says in the Quran, Save yourselves and your family from Jahannam. So this is all about parenting, all about having that aspect of tarbiyah within your house. And this is a great opportunity as well for yourself. Why? Because you get the good deed of parenting and it's also your form of da'wah as well. So it's two forms of good deeds. And everything that happens in that household is a form of sadaqah jariyah, ongoing charity, good deeds that will continue after we have passed away. Every time you pay somebody, for example, to teach your children Quran, every time they recite that verse, you're getting the good deed. Or even if you've taught them a verse, you're getting the good deed. It is so an amazing opportunity.
