Can we read Quran to the deceased with the intention of the sawab goes to them?

deceasedrewardquran recitationsadaqahschools of thoughtfuneral rites
The answer depends on the school of thought; the Hanafi and Hanbali schools permit it as a sadaqah that benefits the deceased, while the Shafi'i and Maliki schools do not. deceased, reward, quran recitation, sadaqah, schools of thought, funeral rites https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DWujjM45XRk
In the Hanafi Al-Hanbali Madhab, yes you can and the recitation would be considered to be a sadaqah which you would then pass on to the deceased because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that sadaqah is something that can benefit the deceased. In the Shafi'i Maliki Madhabs however, they don't consider it to be something that comes under the banner of sadaqah so they would say that it wouldn't be permissible. But inshallah as I mentioned, if you were to do it based on the first view, the view in the Hanafi Al-Hanbali Madhab then yes, the reward would be passed on to the deceased.
