Yes, according to the majority and safer opinion, it would break the fast as it enters a body cavity, but such tests can usually be delayed until after Ramadan. fasting, ramadan, medical, breaking fast, fiqh ruling, scholarly opinions https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yTrY0VO5YPQ
So according to the overwhelming majority of scholars, the former opinion, anything that enters a body cavity, whether that be the mouth, whether it be the nose, the front or back passage, would break your fast. That's according to majority scholars. There is a second view which says that no, what enters has to be nutritional. That is a second view, it is a minority view, it is present. But the overwhelming majority of scholars say that anything that enters, regardless of whether it's nutritional or not, would break the fast. And that's the safer view, that's the view that I advise. That way, you know, alhamdulillah, you have nothing to worry about in terms of your fast, in terms of Ramadan. And generally, most aspects in terms of smears, they can always be delayed in most aspects, unless it's an emergency, for a week, two weeks, three weeks until the end of Ramadan.
