Is going to the dentist during Ramadan permissible?
So what you need to be careful about is when you visit the dentist or any medical treatment, you need to be careful that there's nothing that goes down the back of your throat. And this potentially may happen or may not happen, depending on what treatment you're having done at the dentist. So if it is something that may happen, then it's better to avoid it if that's possible. Of course, if there's a specific medical need and you need treatment, then that's a different situation. But if you're able to postpone it, for example, then that would be safer, unless you're confident that nothing will go down the back of your throat. Thank you.
