Is it a valid hadith to close doors and windows at Maghrib?
So there's a hadith in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, the Prophet ﷺ said that at Maghrib time you should close your windows and doors and bring your children inside. Now what does this mean? The reason for it is because the jinn, the shayateen, they generally come out at that particular time. So just before Maghrib for 5-10 minutes or so, that's when it's recommended to close your windows and close your doors and bring your children inside. It's not an obligation, you don't have to do it, you're not sinful if you don't do it. But it's a recommendation and it's only for that short period of time. Then after that you can open your windows and doors and no issue with that inshallah.
