What is the difference between khula and faskh?
Khula is a dissolution of marriage initiated by the wife. She has to give something to the husband to get khula. Faskh is a judicial dissolution. It’s done by a judge or an Islamic authority because of certain reasons. Those reasons could be the husband’s inability to provide, his absence, his imprisonment, or some defects that were not known before marriage.
