According to all of the madhhabs, according to the overwhelming majority of scholars, if you are concerned for yourself or the health of your baby, you would be exempt from fasting, but you would need to still make up those days. You would still need to make up those days. It's not a matter of just paying. Why? Because it's a temporary condition, breastfeeding or even pregnancy, the same principle. It's something temporary. It's not a lifelong ongoing condition. And Allah says, whoever has a temporary condition or is traveling temporarily, you would be exempt from fasting. But the key thing is, you still need to make up those days at a later point in time.
